BOXING is a combat sport in which two people wearing protective gloves throw punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring.
Boxing is supervised by a referee over a series of one- to three-minute rounds.
A winner can be determined when a referee deems an opponent incapable of continuing and in case of disqualification or resignation. When the fight ends with both opponents still standing, the judges' scorecards determine the victor.
The boxing tournaments at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo will take place from 25 July to 9 August 2020 at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan,an indoor sporting arena in Sumida.
